2D Explainer Animations
Overview
A 2D Explainer transforms complex ideas into clear, engaging stories through clean graphic design and purposeful animation. It gives clients a concise way to communicate products, features, or processes with modern visual clarity and smooth narrative flow. This format is ideal for launches, education, and marketing materials that need to distill information quickly and effectively. The final result is a polished, easy-to-understand explainer delivered end-to-end with minimal oversight.
Process
Initial Contact - Quick alignment on your goals, target audience, and whether the explainer is product-focused, service-focused, or feature-driven.
Discovery Meeting - A deeper discussion to clarify messaging, tone, visual direction, runtime, distribution platforms, and any existing brand guidelines.
Initial Project Estimate - A clear, transparent estimate based on script length, complexity, asset count, and animation requirements.
Revised Project Estimate (as needed) - Adjustments after refining scope, messaging, or visual direction so the final estimate reflects exactly what you need.
Pre-Production (Script, Style Frames, Storyboards, etc.) - Crafting the script or narrative outline, establishing the visual direction through style frames, and mapping the full flow via storyboards or motion boards.
Asset Gathering (Brand assets, VO, music, supporting graphics, etc.) - Collecting all required materials, including brand guidelines, logo packs, voiceover recordings, music selects, or any supporting visuals.
Prime Production (Initial Animation Build) - Building the first full animated pass — timing, transitions, pacing, typography, and all major visual sequences.
Post-Production (Revise as needed) - Refinements based on feedback, plus final polish: cleanup, color, easing, sound design, VO sync, and export prep.
Final Delivery - A fully rendered, production-ready explainer delivered in your requested formats (MP4 or ProRes), optimized for web, social, or internal use.

FAQs
Can you write the script?
Yes. I can craft a concise, client-approved script for the explainer, or work from a script you already have.
What do you need from me to get started?
A brief discovery call and any existing brand assets, references, VO, or music preferences. From there, I handle the full process.
How many revisions are included?
Each project includes a focused revision stage. Additional changes beyond the agreed scope can be added at standard rates.
How much does a video cost?
Pricing varies based on complexity, level of polish, and runtime. I provide a clear, detailed estimate after our discovery meeting so you know exactly what’s included.
How long does a typical project take?
Most 2D Explainers take 2–4 weeks, depending on scope and feedback cycles. Larger or more complex builds may require additional time.
Do you handle the full production process?
Yes. I manage scripting (if needed), visual development, animation, and final delivery — ensuring a consistent result with minimal oversight.
Do you work with existing brand guidelines?
Yes. I can follow your established brand system to ensure the final animation fits seamlessly into your identity.
Can you match a specific visual style?
Absolutely. I can match or adapt to references, brand work, or defined aesthetics.
Do you provide source files?
Source files can be included as an optional add-on. Preparing them requires extra time, so they’re priced separately from the final deliverables.
